The Fine Fools Network started by Paul Scrivens has had its ups and downs. Now, it seems it’s time to let it go.

Scrivs announced that Fine Fools will be auctioned off at the SitePoint Forums.

It’s not a hard thing to do now, but it’s probably something that should have been done a long time ago, but it was hard to let something die that I knew I could make stronger. Of all the projects that I have done in the past I learned the most from this one and I have no regrets.

The details released in the forums are quite telling. The network gets quite a bit of traffic and pageviews, but only brings in roughly $300/month.

I’m sure this would be a sweet project for anyone willing to put the time into monetizing all of the sites to their fullest potential, but with a “buy it now” price of $20,000 (starting bid is $3,000)…

This is definitely an auction to watch, however, from the last question asked at the time of this entry, there may a problem for a potential buyer.
